Product and Service Advisory
In an effort to help our customers and others to make informed decisions, we have assembled some information about products and services. The following information has been supplied by customers and is information gathered from our experience in the Glock market place. 1. The parts that we at Glockmeister sell and recommend improve the functioning of the Glock pistol. We do not recommend any parts or modifications that would adversely affect the functioning of your weapon in any way. We do not sell or recommend parts that affect the internal funtioning of your weapon. 2. The Glock is near perfect for carry straight out of the box - beware of the parts peddler that wants to sell you aftermarket operation critical parts for your defensive weapon. Be particularly weary of those that push aftermarket barrels and firing system parts and try to tell you that it will improve the performance of your defensive weapon. Any aftermarket parts that you add to your defensive weapon's firing system can make your primary self defense weapon a very poor club. 3. Titanium parts are not durable enough for use in a defensive weapon. Experience has shown us and others that titanium parts seem to wear quite fast in most weapons, so don't bet your life on titanium parts for any of your defensive guns. 4. Please take our advice and do not purchase or use recoil buffer systems. The stock recoil spring performs perfectly - the gun does not maintain reliability if the recoil system is changed. Some of the most common problems that we see with these systems are a failure to feed or a failure to eject properly. In the most extreme cases, we have seen catastrophic failures related to recoil buffer systems. 5. No one makes a better connector for a Glock than Glock does. After market connectors can cause reliability problems - the most common problem we have seen is a failure of the trigger to reset. Please stick to the stock parts for your firing system. 6. There are some parts peddlers out there that offer aftermarket parts to replace stock parts that are integral to the safety systems in the Glock. Do not install any aftermarket parts into your Glock that involve the trigger safety, the firing pin safety or the dropped gun safety. We recommend that you do not install any of these parts in your defensive Glock, sport shooting Glock or your competition Glock. For any specific questions - contact Glock, Inc. More to come...
